The District was a American television police drama series that aired on CBS for four seasons from October 7, 2000 to May 1, 2004 and ran a total of 89 episodes. Each show was 44 minutes in length.
The plot followed the work and personal life of the Chief of Washington, D.C.'s Police Department (MPDC) who was newly hired and really and truly cared about only hiring those to the force who wanted to help fight crime in the District of Columbia.
