This well-received crime drama aired on NBC for one season of 20 episodes for the1989-1990 season. The title character derives from the 1988 television mini-series Favorite Son, based on the book by Steve Sohmer.

Nick Mancuso is an FBI agent assigned to Washington, D.C.  He handles his assignments in a no-nonsense manner, with little regard for political niceties and bureaucratic hypocrisy.  He was described as a man with “a passionate love affair with the United States Constitution”.
