Father Dowling Mysteries is an American mystery show that originally aired on NBC, but moved to ABC for the last two seasons. Father Dowling Mysteries is based on a series of novels by Ralph McInerny.
Father Frank Dowling comes across a startling amount of crime in his life as a Catholic priest in Chicago. Most frequently Father Dowling discovers a murder has been committed and takes it upon himself and a few associates such as Sister Stephanie, a streetwise nun, and Father Preswick to solve the crime.
