Growing Pains is an ABC American sitcom that aired starting in 1985. Growing Pains was quite a success, continuing for a total of 7 seasons until 1992. 

Growing Pains was centered around an affluent family , the Seavers, living in a New York suburb. Jason Seaver was a psychiatrist who moved his practice into his home so that his wife, Maggie , can go back to pursuing her career as a reporter. This leaves Jason at home to deal with their three kids, Mike, Carol and Ben. Mike, the oldest, is a troublemaking teen, while Carol is a straight A student. The youngest child was rambunctious Ben.

Many future stars appeared on Growing Pains throughout its run. Most notably was a very young Leonardo DiCaprio who played Luke Brower, a friend of Ben's in the 1991-1992 season. Other notable guest stars include Matthew Perry, Brad Pitt, Hilary Swank, Heather Graham, Annette Funicello, and Dana Plato.
