This highly-regarded adventure series was produced by Belisarius Productions and 80 episodes aired on CBS from January 1984 to August 1987.
Airwolf is a super high tech helicopter owned by an
agency referred to as ‘The Firm’. When the helicopter is stolen,
the deputy director of ‘The Firm’, nicknamed Archangel, must see to it that it is retrieved. The only other man who knows how to fly the helicopter is Stringfellow Hawke, so the director hires Hawke to liberate the helicopter. Hawke’s condition is that ‘The Firm’ will help him locate his brother who is Missing in Action in Viet Nam. Together with his mentor, Dominic Santini, Hawke rescues the helicopter.
The series continues with Hawke being used by ‘The Firm’ to fly various missions around the world, encountering foreign and domestic agents who are trying to acquire Airwolf for themselves.
