Cheers is am American situation comedy television show that aired on NBC and ran for a total of eleven seasons from September 30th, 1982 - May 20th, 1993 and 270 episodes. The show was almost cancelled after only one season because it ranked last in ratings. Luckily, it was not cancelled and ended up being in the top tem ratings for eight out of it's eleven season runs. The show earned 111 Emmy nominations with 28 Emmy Awards won. The main character, Frasier Crane played by Kelsey Grammer actually got to get his own show a spin off called "Frasier" which also ran eleven seasons.
Cheers is set in the Cheers bar in Boston Massachusetts. The plots revolve around a group of locals getting together to meet and enjoy a drink. Many themes touched on social issues. Majority of action took place in the bar. Many of the pisodes were about the main character Sam Malone who was a former major league baseball player for the Boston Red Sox and his ways with different woman. Subjects such as womanizer, golddiggers, homosexuality and feminism were often included in each episode.
