BJ and the Bear was an American comedy series on NBC that featured the comic misadventures of a handsome trucker named BJ (Billy Joe) McKay, and his pet chimpanzee named Bear.  The duo would frequently encounter crooked cops as they drove around in the distinctive red and white Kenworth truck.

Eventually BJ settled down in Los Angeles in the last season to start his own trucking company, but due to the influence of a corrupt politician, had to rely on a group of beautiful but amateur truck driving women.
