One Day at a Time was an American situation comedy that aired on CBS from December 16, 1975 to May 28, 1984 for a total of nine seasons and a total run of 209 episodes each being 24 minutes in length.  The show is based on the real life stories of the creator, Whitney Blake.

The show is about Ann Romano played by Bonnie Franklin.  She is a divorced mother who has two teenage daughters.  Plots center around serious life issues that a single divorced mother has to face on a daily basis.
