Broadcast on ABC, this crime drama program aired on television from September 12, 1974 to April 29, 1976 for two seasons and 44 episodes. The program was preceded by two pilot movies, Such Dust as Dreams Are Made On (3/11/1973) and Smile Jenny, You’re Dead (2/3/1974).
Originally living a cottage on the beach in San Diego, California, and then later in Los Angeles, Harry Orwell was a police officer who had to retire when he was shot in the back. No longer able to work on the police force, Harry O becomes a private investigator working out of his beach house.
The program deals with the cases Harry takes on, and his interactions with various victims, criminals, and law enforcement officers.
