Monday Night Football (MNF) is a live airing of the National Football League that airs on ESPN. Monday Night Football began in 1970 on ABC with Howard Cosell, Frank Gifford and Dandy Don Meredith and still airs today. As of December 27th, 2010 41 seasons have aired with 643 episodes and each airing is at least 3 and a half hours. Along with Hallmark Hall of Fame and Walt Disney anthology television series, MNF is one of the longest running prime time commercial network television series ever.
MNF can be seen in Canada and in most of Europe and most of Australia. A Spanish language version airs on ESPN International in Latin America. The games are also made available on regular over-the-air television stations in each participating team's local market so that homes that do not have access to caable television can still view the telecast.
