Cooking / Family / Health / Talk Show
Cast: Graham Kerr, Anne Meara, Jerry Stiller and Amy Vanderbilt
The Galloping Gourmet is British chef Graham Kerr, so named for his 1967 book, The Galloping Gourmets, co-authored by wine expert Len Evens. The duo travelled around the world for the book, writing on some of the finest restaurants on the planet. The Galloping Gourmet aired on North American television from 1969 to 1971.
The Galloping Gourmet was a cooking program known for Kerr's humorous antics and liberal use of butter and wine as he demonstrated how to prepare some of his recipes. At the end of each episode he would usually select an audience member to come onstage with him to share the food he had just prepared.
Graham Kerr made several other cooking shows over the years including Take Kerr, ( a five minute daily show) The Graham Kerr Show, (created in 1990-1991) and a PBS special called Cooking in Concert: Julia Child & Graham Kerr.
