This sitcom aired for five seasons on CBS, with 128 episodes from September 24, 1968 to March 12, 1973.

The format for the sitcom changed nearly every season.  In the first season Doris Martin, recently widowed, returns with her two sons to the family's ranch.  The next season Doris and her sons and her dad move to San Francisco where she works as a secretary.  In the third season they move into an apartment above an Italian restaurant and Doris writes feature stories for a magazine.  By the end of the series Doris is alone but still writing for Today's World magazine.
