This adventure crime series aired on ABC from January 9, 1968 to March 23, 1970 for 3 seasons and 66 episodes, debuting with a 90-minute pilot episode called A Thief is a Thief is a Thief.

Alexander Mundy is a debonair playboy living the good life, thanks to his profits as a top-notch thief and cat burglar.  Unfortunately for him, he is caught, tried and sentenced to prison.

Things take a turn for the better when he is approached by the United States Government’s Secret Intelligence Agency (SIA) with a proposal – they will release him from prison as long as he agrees to keep stealing, but this time for the government.

With the threat of being sent back to prison hanging over his head, he engages in many different adventures at home and abroad as he is dispatched by the government to search out threats to national security, and to steal documents, computer chips , and various other things.

Guest stars included Bette Davis, Paul Henreid, Fernando Lamas, Ida Lupino and many other prominent actors.
