Airing on NBC for 7 seasons from September 12, 1968 to May 20, 1975 in 174 episodes, Adam-12 is a crime drama series about police officers of the Los Angeles Police Department, created by Jack Webb.

Adam-12 is about Pete Malloy, a veteran officer on the verge of leaving the police department after the death of his partner, and Jim Reed, a rookie officer.  On the night that Malloy was taking his last patrol he is partnered with Reed and, inspired by how much Reed has to learn and how much he can teach him, Malloy decides to stay on the force.

Malloy and Reed are patrol officers assigned to car 1-Adam-12, and the program is about their daily experiences as police officers, serving Los Angeles and dealing with traffic stops, lost children, robberies and all manner of crime, large and small.

The dispatcher on the program was played by Shaaron Claridge, a real-life LAPD dispatcher.
