60 Minutes is an American news magazine show that has run continuously from 1968 on CBS. Originally 60 Minutes was based on the Canadian news show called "This Hour has Seven Days" aired in 1964. This Hour has Seven Days is credited with pioneering many journalistic techniques used today such as editing reviews, hidden cameras and others. 60 Minutes has remained a staple of journalism, reporting in-depth stories on a wide variety of topics throughout the past 40 years.
Many great journalists have appeared on 60 Minutes, including Mike Wallace, Dan Rather, Morley Safer, Ed Bradley, Dan Rather, Diane Sawyer, Charles Kuralt, and Walter Cronkite.
