Flipper aired on NBC for a total of three seasons from September 19, 1964 to April 15, 1967 and a run of 88 episodes. It was an American television adventure series. The show always used a female dolphin to portray Flipper as females were less aggressive than male dolphins.
Flipper was a bottle nosed dolphin and along with Porter Ricks who was the chief Warden at fictional Coal Park and Marine Preserve in southern Florida and the adventures the two have together.
