Bourbon Street Beat was a one hour long show that aired on ABC for only 1 season from October 5, 1959 to July 4, 1960 with a total run of 39 episodes.  Warner Brothers had a variety of Detective shows airing at the same time and most were successful, however Bourbon Street Beat was not as popular.  Surfside 6 was a show that was a spin-off of Bourbon Street Beat. 

Bourbon Street Beat is a private detective series that featured Andrew Duggan as Cal Calhoun, Richard Long as Rex Randolph, Van Williams as Kenny Madison, and Arlene Howell as Melody Lee Mercer, the secretary at the New Orleans detective agency in which they worked.  The plot was about the adventures of three private detectives who solves crimes in the Big Easy.
