The Crystal Ball
A writer is heartbroken when he's dumped by his greedy girlfriend; she marries his publisher for his money. As a parting gift, she leaves him with a crystal ball. The ex-boyfriend becomes obsessed with the globe when it begins showing him visions of her cheating on her new husband.
Two Sons (Also known as “Genesis”)
At the reading of the will, the family learns that the father has left the farm to oldest son John. Conniving son Jonas produces a second will that leaves the entire farm to him. It's up to the late father to come back and set the record straight.
The Gloucester Captain (Also known as “Food on the Table”)
Captain Elwood is celebrating his latest voyage at the Mariner's Club. His attention-starved wife, however, is bitter and grabs his food from the table. The angry Captain invites her to accompany him on his next trip, where he proceeds to poison her. On his next visit to the Mariner's Club, he finds out he's not yet free from his late wife.
Jack the Ripper
A man shares information with Scotland Yard that he's learned from his psychic visions. The details he provides is so accurate that he becomes the detectives' leading suspect in the Ripper murders.
Summer Heat
Looking out of his window, Mr. Paige witnesses the murder of a blonde across the street. The police find nothing but an empty apartment, so they send the upset Paige to Bellevue to talk with a psychiatrist. While he's there, a blonde moves into the previously deserted apartment.
The Return of Madame Vernoy
In this tale of reincarnation, a young Indian woman says she's still in love with the husband she left behind when she died. She startles the now much-older Mr. Vernoy when she appears, announces that she's Madame Vernoy and wants to resume their relationship.
Destination Nightmare
Pilot Peter Wade sees an apparition in the clouds that commands him to steer his plane into a mountain. Peter's father is also having visions of the man who he once knew during WWII. The wraith reappears to the younger Wade, leading him to make a startling discovery.
Vision of Crime
Two constables investigate the murder of a man shot to death in an apothecary shop. The Cockney cops try to pin it on the obvious suspect, but the dead man's brother knows better. On board a ship many miles away, he receives a "vision" of the murder in a bowl of water.
The Doctors
A gravely ill girl in a small Italian village desperately needs an operation. Their beloved Dr. Carlo is unavialble so his son, big-city doctor Angelo, is sent to save her. The family refuses his diagnosis until the strangely mute Dr. Carlo appears to give his blessing.
The Girl on the Road
John Prescott helps a young lady whose car has stranded her on the side of the road. Intrigued, he takes her to a local bar for cocktails. Their bartender's nervousness is distracting so they plan to get together later that evening at Lookout Point. At their late-night, rendezvous the girl disappears and her elderly uncle warns John to forget he ever met her!
