Filmed by Roy Rogers Productions on Roy Rogers’ ranch in Chatsworth, California, and at Corriganville Ranch in Simi Valley, Brave Eagle was produced by NBC but aired on CBS from September 1955 to March 1956.

The western series was unique, being the first television series to star an American Indian as the lead character, and told from the American Indian’s point of view.

The program was about a young Cheyenne Chief, Brave Eagle, who struggles to keep the peace, and the daily lives of the people of his tribe as they dealt with white settlement, prejudice, and skirmishes with other tribes.


Witch Bear (03/02/1956)

A mysterious animal is terrorizing the tribe, and many begin to believe that it is an evil spirit. Brave Eagle determines to show them that it is indeed a real animal.
