The Ruggles was an American situation comedy and one of the earliest ever to be aired on American television.  It aired on ABC from November 3, 1949 to June 19, 1952.  It was also one of the first to come from Hollywood instead of New York City .
 
The main character was comedian Charlie Ruggles and the character he played was also named Charlie.  His wife character was Margaret Ruggles and the couple had four children.  Charlie worked as a department store manager and majority of the scenes were set in the families living room just following everyday life.
