30 minutes each episode, with the original ads. Howdy Doody is a children's television program with a frontier /western theme, although other themes also colored the show . It was created by E. Roger Muir and carried on NBC in the early days of television. This pioneer in children's programming set the pattern for many similar shows. Buffalo Bob and Gang including Clarabell, Mr. Bluster, Chief Thundercloud, Flub-a-Dub and so many more characters interact with the kids to have a great time in the Peanut Gallery!
