My Little Margie was a unique and original comedy radio show.  What makes My Little Margie so unique is that it was one of the only shows to have started on television, and then moved to radio.  Even through this seemingly backwards transition, My Little Margie was still unique in the fact that the stories in the radio episodes ran concurrently with the stories on the television show.  This created a very unique viewing and listening experience as television was being introduced to the American public.

It also helped to have a very talented cast for My Little Margie .  Especially entertaining was Gale Storm in the lead role as 21 year old Margie as she struggled to deal with her father Vern, her boyfriend Freddie, her neighbor Mrs. Odetts, and her curmudgeon of a boss Mr. Honeywell.

Writing also significantly contributed to the success of My Little Margie .  The producers of the show knew that transitioning between television and radio could be complex enough so they needed to keep the scripts for each individual show quite simple.  This let them focus on maximizing the humor of each show without overly complicating it.  You won't want to miss this unique experience from the early days of television, and the olden days of radio.
