Detective
Pursuit was an American crime drama set in England and starring Ted De Corsia as Inspector Peter Black of Scotland Yard. Scotland Yard was the topic of much interest in America during the golden age of radio. As many as seven separate radio programs dealt with various inspectors and stories from the files of Scotland Yard. In fact, when Pursuit aired in 1949 on CBS, it was the second show on the network that dealt with Scotland Yard at the time, the first being Inspector Hearthstone of the Death Squad, starring Alfred Shirley.
Pursuit was so titled because of Inspector Peter Black's sheer grit and determination to bring in the suspect once he was assigned to a case. Assisted by Sgt. Moffet, Inspector Black never failed to bring the wrongdoer to justice.
