Escape was an anthology series of high adventure and drama.  A true anthology, Escape had dozens of talented actors, writers, and musicians contributing their gifts to its episodes.  A short, but distinguished list includes: Art Carney, Jack Webb, Elliott Lewis, William Conrad, Les Crutchfield, William N. Robson, Walter Newman, James Poe, Del Castillo, Wilbur Hatch, and Leith Stevens.

Stories were adapted from many of the classics, including works by Rudyard Kipling, Robert Louis Stevenson, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, H. G. Wells, and Edgar Allen Poe.
