Intrigue (1946)

Intrigue

(1946)

Mystery

Cast: Joseph Schildkraut, Tom Collins, Lou Merrill, Pat McGeehan, Vincent Price, Jay Novello, Ann Stone, Alec Harper , James Matthews and Virginia Bruce

Intrigue was the name of a short-lived radio show that aired in the summer of 1946.  Eight episodes were planned, however only seven were created, and only six of those starred Joseph Schildkraut.  Schildkraut was an accomplished actor of stage and screen and was really the draw of the show .  Schildkraut had won an Academy Award for his on-screen performance of Captain Dreyfus in " The Life of Emile Zola " in 1937, making him the first non-American actor to win the Award.

Intrigue was aired in 30 minute episodes and focused on tales of murder and, as the name would suggest, intrigue.  The debut show was entitled " Rogue Male ".
