The Corsican Brothers, based on the classic novel by Alexandre Dumas, is about a set of twins, separated at birth and raised in completely different circumstances. They are unaware of each other, but are drawn by honor and a need for vengeance, wanting to kill the man who killed their parents. Of course, the brothers are much alike in other ways as well and both fall in love with the same woman.
The story is adapted into 52 episodes. Produced by George Edwards for station 2UE in Sydney, Australia, the show was a big hit, and led to Edwards and his crew producing more than 300 programs for early radio Down Under, including The Adventures of Marco Polo and Frankenstein .
