The Shadow was a collection of drama's done in serial format that began in magazines and then moved to radio, comic books, comic strips, television, video games and film. 

The main character was able to control people's mind so they were unaware of his presence.  The Shadow acted as the host of each episode called, "Detective Story Hour".   Each episode was a story of mystery and suspense.  Margo Lane character played by Agnes Moorehead is the only person that knows the identity as The Shadow.  She was his love interest and crime solving partner.
