Lux Radio Theater was a long running show that started in 1934 on the NBC Blue Network , providing dramatic adaptations of popular movies.  Throughout its twenty-one year history, many stars would appear on the show , re-enacting their big screen performances before a live studio audience.  Lux Radio theater would also move from NBC to CBS (from 1935-1954) before moving back to NBC in 1954.

Lux Radio Theatre began broadcasting in the Fall of 1934 from New York with its first adaptation, "Seventh Heaven" starring John Boles and Miriam Hopkins.
