This program is about the adventures of American-born Frank Chandler. Frank had learned occult secrets from a yogi in India, and possessed several supernatural skills, including astral projection, teleportation and the ability to create illusions. Taking the name of Chandu, his goal was to "go forth with his youth and strength to conquer the evil that threatens mankind".
Chandu the Magician , one of the longest running radio adventure serials , was heard on several different networks in the 1930's and underwent a revival in the 1940's, lasting until the 1950's. The series was originally created by Harry A. Earnshaw and Raymond R. Morgan.
