Rachel McAdams plays Becky, a hard-working morning TV show producer who gets fired from her job. Determined to find a new job, she gets an interview with Jerry who is struggling to find a producer for the show “Daybreak” that is not doing well in the ratings. Becky lands the job and realizes her job is more difficult than she had anticipated. She ends up firing the co-host for being too sexist and has to persuade Mike Pomeroy, a conceited new reporter played by Harrison Ford to take the job. Becky has more on her plate when she hires him, for he’s not working up to par.
