Maximus is a Roman general who is adored
by the people and the Emperor, Marcus Aurelius. The Emperor chooses Maximus over his own son, Commodus, to be his heir, which causes Commodus to kill his family and turn Maximus into a gladiator until he dies fighting. But Maximus will fight and fight until he finds revenge on the evil Commodus.
