Chris Taylor is a young man who chooses fighting in Vietnam over college . He quickly realizes he is not really needed since most of the soldiers have a lot of experience and know the effects of war. He is soon faced with reality when an unauthorized killing takes place during a village invasion. As more fighting occurs, Chris begins to feel the pressure and finds that he is fighting more than one fight. The enemy and the men in his troop.
