Sergeant Major Zak Carey is on his final Army duty in the South. He is not fond of the way the Army maintains their space, so one day he leaves for a bar to grab a beer. There he encounters one of the prostitutes who tries to come onto him, but he is not interested in her. The deputy arrives and seems to be her pimp. Not happy with her not making any money, he starts to beat her up. Zak defends her and fights with the deputy. He soon finds out that the Deputy is unscrupulous and tries to get Zak in trouble with the Army for assaulting him, but the Army defends Zak. Zak is not worried about what the Deputy can do to him, knowing he is not loyal to his job. The Deputy takes his problems to Zak’s son, arresting him for drug charges. Zak is left with no option but to get into his Sherman Tank and get his son out of prison himself. Then he plans to deal with the false Deputy and expose his true colors.
