An up and coming medical doctor takes a job at a tropical tourist spot over the summer, where he runs into his old friend, who is working there as a tennis instructor. An outbreak of genital herpes takes place, causing trouble in the sexually promiscuous community. Everyone seems to be coming down with the diseases, even the tennis instructor, whose career is now in danger. The doctor takes moments in the film to educate about herpes, hoping to increase awareness and stop the epidemic from spreading.
