The assignment is to smuggle a Soviet child out of the USSR. It becomes especially difficult when the woman pulling off the scheme is an outspoken Canadian reporter (Genevieve Bujold) who is not only involved with a high-ranking Soviet propagandist, but is already being monitored by the KGB.
