Robert Caine is a wealthy industrialist who believes in the benefits of nuclear power, and intends to build a power plant in the Middle East despite dire predictions from the local people.
He is plagued by disturbing dreams, however, and discovers that his son, who was set to inherit his business dynasty, is apparently planning to use the power plant to trigger the end of the world.
