During a meteor shower, a man is struck in the head by a meteorite and a piece of it lodges deep into his skull.  The result of this incident transforms the man at night into a lizard-like beast that stalks the countryside in search of victims.  The man’s best friend, a scientist and archeologist, and his girlfriend rush to find a cure for the man before the next transformation.
