Vic Morono (Jack Palance) is a Prohibition-era mobster with a grudge against rival gangster Chico Hamilton (Warren Berlinger), and also a thing for women.  Morono’s ways take a turn for the better when he meets the lovely Wendy Rittenhouse (Carol Lynley) and falls in love with her.  With aid of his newfound girlfriend and his gang of bumbling mobsters, Morono looks to end his rivalry and make a legitimate life for himself.
