Johnny Barrows is unfairly discharged from the army after he assaults his commanding officer. His luck worsens when he arrives home, being robbed and taken to prison. After being released from prison he is left with no money and finds a job at a gas station. His boss happens to be a prejudiced bully and Barrows is taken back to prison after assaulting him as well. Soon after he is released from prison again a criminal appoints him as a hit man for the mafia due to his military background. He is all of a sudden stuck in a huge fight between two families.
