Gene Wilder plays a young neurosurgeon who inherits the castle of his grandfather, the famous Dr. Victor von Frankenstein.  A funny hunchback named Igor, a pretty lab assistant named Inga and the old housekeeper, frau Blucher all come with the castle. He believes the work of his grandfather meant nothing, but he changes his mind when he finds the book his grandfather wrote all the details of his experiments.
