The beginning of the film takes place in London in the year of 1872. It revolves around the last fight between Lawrence van Helsing and Count Dracula , where Dracula died from a post made from the remnants of a wooden wheel. Lawrence dies from his injuries. During his burial, an employee of Dracula buries the remnants of the post close by the grave and takes with him some of Dracula 's ashes and the ring. One hundred years pass and Johnny, the great-grandson of Dracula 's employee teams up with some people, including Jessica, the grand-daughter of the current vampire killer, Abraham van Helsing. Not knowing what they are getting into, they assist in bringing Dracula back into the 20th Century . He is obstinate on ruining the house of Van Helsing.
