'Big Jim' Cole leaves his job as Marshall and travels to Wyoming with his family, for one of his relatives left some land for him. When he arrives to his new home, there are problems awaiting him since his neighbor starts fighting him for his land he wants for his son and daughter and a grizzly bear known as Satan who will not stop killing his animals.

A man he formerly sent to prison, Cass Dowdy, and he set out to kill the grizzly bear and collect the bounty which would help Big Jim save his home before his enemy Cass does.
