The name of Wilde’s character is never mentioned throughout the film. He plays a guide during the Colonial Period, who is leading a white man and his group on an elephant hunt in southern Africa. They run into problems after the group interjects on tribe’s province. The natives feel they should be given gifts from the group, yet are courteous with them. The guide informs the group to be pleasant with them, for they could turn against them. They do not listen to their guide and deny any more payment to the natives and disrespect them on top of it all. That is not the end of the tribe. They come back later capturing the entire group and killing all of them in a very tortuous manner. They kill all of them differently and make them suffer every minute of their slow deaths. Wilde’s character is the last one they left to kill, but he escapes and ends up killing some of the warriors.
