Excited to participate in the city's first annual Grand Prix Race, Lucky Jackson heads to Las Vegas, Nevada. However, his race car, an Elva Mark VI, needs a new engine in order to keep running. Once in Las Vegas, Lucky raises the money he needs, but he loses it when he is distracted by an attractive local swimming instructor, Ms. Rusty Martin. It isn’t long before Lucky's main competition arrives in the form of 'Count Elmo Mancini', who not only attempts to steal the auto race, but the affections of Rusty.
This movie is regarded by many fans and film critics alike as one of Presley's best movies, and it is noted for the evident on-screen attraction between the main characters. Presley's fifteenth movie and perhaps his best musical comedy, Elvis Presley was finally teamed with a costar whose singing and dancing abilities matched the intensity of his own performing style. No wonder it became his highest grossing film ever.
