The Great Sadini discovers a young man struggling with hunger at the carnival and invites him into his trailer. The boy’s name is Hugo and at first he believes Sadini and his wife are the devil and an angel, but it’s really the wife who has a cold heart and Sadini takes Hugo under his wing and teaches him all about magic.
