This film is a remake of the original 1937 version starring Edward G. Robinson, Bette Davis, and Humphrey Bogart.

Walter Gulick returns to Cream Valley, New York after he is done with the military.  His plan is to become a mechanic, but he ends up working at a boxing camp.  Willy Grogan sees potential in Walter as a fighter and gives him the name Kid Galahad.  Problems arise for Willy after he overhears a gangster’s conversation and Walter falls in love with Willy’s sister.
