A small Mexican farming village is threatened by a bandit (Eli Wallach) each year stealing their just harvested crops. Many of the older men send three of their farmers to the United States in order to find gunmen to protect them from the bandit gang. At the end the town has seven gunmen all there for a different purpose. The town prepares for a huge fight, for 40 bandits will arrive in search of food and ravaging the women of the pueblo.
