Cliff Henderson and his family are on their way to Japan aboard the SS Claridon. The Claridon is taking its last trip, for the ship is old. An eruption in the engine room does not help the ship and eater starts to pile in. The Captain is denial about the ship possibly sinking. Meanwhile, Henderson's wife Laurie is wounded and trapped . Henderson tries to help his wife along with one of the crew members, Hank Lawson, while everyone else tries to survive.
