The film is set in the 1880s, where actress Angela and owner-manager Healy of the Healy Dramatic Company lead a group of girls.  Problems arise after a bill collector arrives and Angela takes a night’s receipt from Pierce, the theatre owner, and loses all in a poker game with gunfighter Clint.
