When a spaceship carrying returning space explorers from Venus to Earth crash lands, a specimen they were bringing back (the egg of the Venusian reptile - the Ymir) is lost. The oxygen rich atmosphere of the Earth causes the monster to grow rapidly, and soon the creature is threatening life on our planet as we know it.
